Jansis O'Hanlon is a
manager and creative producer with broad
experience working within the performing arts and cultural sector. She is
currently working in Darwin, NT as Executive Director of Brown's Mart Theatre.
Jansis' management experience includes Executive Director
of The Blue Room Theatre, Director of Stages WA; Executive Manager Strut dance;
Artistic Director of Urban Myth Theatre (SA) and Associate Artistic
Director Barking Gecko (WA). Jansis has also worked as a project based
actor, creator and director with
companies including Woolly Jumpers (Vic), Arena Theatre (Vic), Deckchair
(WA) and
Red
Desert (WA).
Originally trained as an actor, Jansis received a BA from
Curtin
University, before graduating with a
Diploma in Dramatic at the
Victorian
College of the Arts (VCA)
where she specialised in the creation of new performance.
Jansis has a particular fascination with elephants - both in the jungle and in the
room.
